Cobo Bay Beach
One of Guernsey’s famous beaches is the Cobo Bay Beach. Situated on the north west coast of Guernsey, this white sandy beach offers crystal clear waters close to plenty of local amenities and is a great spot to watch the sunset, what more could you ask for?
Castle Cornet
Fancy exploring some of Guernsey’s history? Castle Cornet has been guarding Guernsey for over 800 years. Check out this island's stunning views of the harbour while you explore the battlements.
Visit Lihou
Lihou is a small tidal island just of the cost of Guernsey. Discover the ruins of an old priory on Lihou or stick to the coastline to find all the best wildlife, it's a bird spotters paradise. This island can be accessed by a causeway at low tides throughout the year and is free of charge, just make sure you get the times of the tide or you will be stranded.
Dining out
As well as exploring the island, Guernsey offers some delicious local cuisine to try. Whether you prefer to eat fish and chips, al fresco dining or indulging in afternoon tea, Guernsey has a lot to offer.
Local specialties
Whether you are holidaying or living in Guernsey you must try their local specialities. One of the local dishes, gâche is made up of a special bread made with raisins, sultanas and mixed peel and the Guernésiais translation of gâche is cake.
If you like seafood why not try Guernsey's own seafood delicacy, the ormer. For on the first four months of the year January - April many people take to Guernsey's beaches to find the ormer molluscs which can be added to stew, casserole, fried or even picked.
