Guernsey Traffic Growth for Propertyskipper in 2022

2022 saw further website traffic growth for propertyskipper, with overall website traffic across the four islands in which we operate climbing around 7% from a record 2021. Whilst both local Guernsey and Channel Island traffic increased over the year, of particular encouragement was the growth in UK traffic to Propertyskipper’s Guernsey website, which climbed over 10% and now accounts for almost a third of traffic to the Guernsey website.

Managing Director Peter Goodall said; “2022 certainly started with a bang in Guernsey and we saw strong traffic flows across the first 3 quarters, we did witness some tailing off of traffic in the final quarter of the year. Without doubt a combination of interest rate rises and lower than normal inventory (particularly in rentals) has had some impact for Guernsey property search. It is encouraging however the growth we have seen in traffic from the UK over the year, clearly as borders fully re-open post Covid there is increased movement of employment as well as individuals again looking at relocation opportunities beyond their immediate shores. We are confident we can continue to grow our traffic base in Guernsey over 2023 and January has certainly started off strongly for both search and Guernsey property enquiries.”
