Herm Island

No visit to Guernsey is complete without taking the short ferry ride to Herm Island. Located just 3 miles from St. Peter Port, Herm is a magical place to spend the day exploring. There is the beautiful and quiet Shell Beach to relax or explore, the sheltered cove of Belvoir Bay, scenic coastal paths, kayak excursions including Puffin Patrols (April to July), Seal safaris, fishing and RIB Tours.

Should you wish to stay a little longer in Herm there are some excellent options of accommodation - the Four Star White House Hotel offers an array of options with Sea View rooms and Suites as well as family accommodation with separate bedrooms. There are a number of holiday cottages on the island which can also be rented. In the summer months camping is also popular with the option of hiring one of the islands equipped 6-man tents. 

There are plenty of dining options on the island including Fine Dining at the Conservatory Restaurant, The Ship Inn, Mermaid Tavern as well as the Beach Cafe’s. Its worth checking the Visit Guernsey website before you travel to Herm as there are often special events on the island throughout the year - From Christmas Shopping trips, guided walks and a Real Ale and Cider festival at the Mermaid Tavern.
