Fort Clonque

This 19th century coastal fortress is bursting with historical and cultural significance. Located on its own outcrop island to the west of Alderney, Fort Clonque can be cut off from the rest of the island at full tide. Built in 1912, the Mannez Lighthouse stands proudly in the north east of Alderney. Built to warn passing boats about the treturse waters surrounding the island, this lighthouse has a long history to tell. Tours of this lighthouse are available on sundays at 3pm from May to September.
