'Meet the Agent' - Sue Sharpe - Rego Sotheby's International Realty

This month for 'Meet the Agent' we meet Sue Sharpe, Sales Associate at Rego Sotheby’s International Realty. Sue talks about her favourite sales listing on the market, an increase in interest in certain segments of the market and making sure your house has ‘curb appeal’ to show off its attributes…

How long have you been a Real Estate agent?

14 years

Why do you like working for Rego Sotheby’s International Realty?

The company allows me to work diligently in the Real Estate market putting my clients’ interests first and being well informed about market trends and resources. I have retained a similar interest in caring about my clients needs as I did in the previous 14 years as a nurse!

What is the favourite part of your job?

Knowing that I have done everything I could to help my clients whatever the outcome.

What is your favourite property on the market right now?

My favorite property right now is Martini, a lovely multi dwelling home at Melville Estate. This property has been completely renovated with the addition of a pool and town house. In today’s market it gives opportunity for families to join together in order to purchase a home collectively.

What property on the market right now, in your opinion, do you think is really good value?

Breaker’s E14 is a 3 bed condominium unit with stunning views of the South Shore and access to a private beach. A recent price reduction coupled with a lucrative rent in place makes this an attractive yield on an investment.

How do you see the Bermuda property market over the next 12 months?

The property market is driven by consumer confidence, financing and the supply of properties. While there remains a large inventory of condominiums this will have a depressing effect on this segment of the market. However, I am noticing more interest in the moderate family home market which will help to stabilize prices in that segment.

What are your top tips for house hunters/sellers?

‘Curb appeal’ is important and without spending too much money - prepare the house in the best possible way to show off it’s attributes – e.g. space, light, clean, and make sure the ‘honey do list’ is completed!

What do you think of propertyskipper.com (we promise not to edit!)

It’s been advantageous to prospects going on one site to look at inventory as opposed to working through many websites and Agents.

Nice one Sue! Buyers and sellers will struggle to find a more caring agent. - Posted by Sharon Cranfield on 30/04/2014 5:31
