Adam dicusses why he enjoys working for Coldwell Banker Bermuda Realty, his favourite listing on the market right now and also his top tips when looking for a potential new home.
How long have you been a real estate agent? I have been a real estate agent since 2006. Almost 10 years with my license!
Why do you like working for Coldwell Banker Bermuda Realty Our company is based on individual and company growth, there are always training opportunities and open doors if you want to learn more. I can’t stress how important it is to be armed with the proper information and resources.
What is the favourite part of your job? My favourite part of the job is that each day can be completely different from the next and I am constantly meeting and creating relationships with new people. It’s a rollercoaster!
What is your favourite property on the market right now? I have a listing in Hamilton Parish called The Locusts, it is spread over 2 acres and is an older Bermudian home in fantastic condition. There is a pool with pool house and another apartment, it’s perfect for entertaining guests because of the grounds. It’s my personal dream property so a pleasure to show!

What property on the market right now, in your opinion, do you think is really good value? This isn’t one specific property, but any of the city apartments are great value, between Atlantis, the Ten Building and the Six Building they are perfect for professionals who want to be in town. They have great amenities, most are furnished and all are like new. Always a pleasure to rent.
How do you see the Bermuda property market over the next 12 months? The previous 12 months have been extremely positive for me, across the entire rental market. I think the next 12 months are going to be as refreshing as the last. I can still see the small positive indications starting to add up, between new companies/people moving here to other areas of growth.
What are your top 3 tips when looking a potential new home?
- Ask the right questions and don’t just assume everything is fine. i.e. How large is the water tank? How long has this been available? When were the last tenants here? Is there a property manager?
- Take a second look at the property; you will see things you may have overlooked.
- Bermuda has wonderful neighbourhoods in strange pockets, don’t be afraid to explore and go out of your comfort zone. You may be surprised at the results. There is a current trend of everyone wanting to live between Paget and Smiths. But there are a lot of amazing properties on either side.
What do you think of propertyskipper.com (we promise not to edit!)? Propertyskipper is the first step in the right direction of creating an MLS system in Bermuda. Having a standard across the board can only benefit the industry so that customers are getting the proper information from all companies/agents.
