'Meet the Agent' - Angela Hanwell from Coldwell Banker

This month for ‘Meet the Agent’ we interview Angela Hanwell, a Sales Representative from Coldwell Banker Bermuda Realty. Angela has been with Coldwell Banker for 11 years and discusses why she enjoys working for the company, what her favorite listings are on the market right now and also discusses the current state of the Bermuda property market. 

How long have you been a real estate agent? I have been with Coldwell Banker for 11 years. Initially as a Sales Assistant, transferring over to Property Management when I obtained my real estate license and now I hold a position as a Sales Representative. 

Why do you like working for Coldwell Banker Bermuda Realty? Coldwell Banker is an amazing company to work for. They support and encourage you. The employees are like family. I enjoying what I do and that makes work fun!

What is the favorite part of your job? Knowing that every day will be different and constantly working with new people and new personalities. This is true no matter what area of the business you work in, it’s part of what makes real estate great!

What is your favorite property on the market right now? I have 2 actually, a turn key 2 bed 2 bath condo in the West End, a perfect starter home at a great price AND a unique 3 bed 1 bath cottage in Pembroke which could also make for a great starter home OR an investment.

What property on the market right now, in your opinion, do you think is really good value? 42 Chaingate Hill which is a listing through Coldwell Banker is a modern 3 bed 2 bath cottage on a nice size lot in excellent condition. Priced to sell, which is what every agent strives for! 


How do you see the Bermuda property market over the next 12 months? The property market in Bermuda is dynamic and always changing, our office saw a record number on new contracts and closings for the month of March, and we continue to keep busy with showings. The most active segment of the market seems to be  $750,000 - $1.5M family homes and as always, location is key!! As for listing inventory, at present the +$3M market is the fastest growing segment, with close to 35 properties on the market for sale.

What are your top 3 tips when looking a potential new home? Pre- approval is key, finding a Sales Agent that you really connect with and sticking with them until you find the house of your dreams AND educating yourself on market trends.
