'Meet the Agent' - Brice Pursell from Rego Sotheby's International Realty

This month for 'Meet the Agent' we interview Brice Pursell, a Real Estate Agent at Rego Sotheby's International Realty. Brice discusses why he enjoys both working in the Bermuda Real Estate market and for Rego Sotheby's International Realty. Brice also provides some insight into his favourite listing on the market right now as well as some top tips for buyers and sellers in the current market.

Why do you like working for Rego Sotheby’s International Realty and what’s the favorite part of your job? The team (period). Some of the most talented, welcoming and collaborative professionals I’ve ever had the pleasure of working alongside. I’m so fortunate! My favorite part of the job still has to be meeting new clients. I’ve lived in Bermuda for over 20 years and I find the mix of people who come to Bermuda or are long-time residents, to always remind me just how special the Island truly is.

Where are you seeing activity in the market at the moment? Both rentals and sales continue to move quickly showing the very high demand. We’re all hopeful that inventory will continue to increase to fulfill that demand!

What is your favorite property on the market right now? ‘Aerie’ in Pembroke and readily admit I’m partial to it as I’ve been there often! It is spectacular and feel it is an amazing opportunity for someone. CLICK HERE TO VIEW

How do you see the Bermuda property market over the next 12 months? With the high demand we’re experiencing now, all signs are that the market will remain ‘hot’. Rental demand in particular seems to be on a path to continue to increase for the foreseeable future.

What are your top 3 tips for purchasers when looking for a potential new home? First, view everything you possibly can! This will ensure you are well-educated on the current market status and you will then know your “comparables” well. With that in mind, purchasers should secondly be ready to make a (timely) offer with confidence that they know well which other properties are out there. Finally, trust your instincts! I feel we all ‘just know’ which new home is the right one for us.

Finally – do you have any good tips for sellers when preparing their home for sale? It’s important to allow the prospect the chance to feel that the place is theirs. Once committed to selling, you have to best separate yourself from the bond you’ve formed and start to ensure that the property is inviting to all. Trust your agent’s advice on how to best do so (although it is understandably tough to “let go”)!
