'Meet the Agent' - David Boyce from Keller Williams Bermuda
This month for ‘Meet the Agent’, we interview David Boyce, a real estate consultant at Keller Williams Bermuda. David recently joined Keller Williams and is already off to a busy start, having benefitted from the Keller Williams training program. David also discusses his favourite listings on the island right now, as well as some top tips for buyers and sellers in this currently ‘hot’ property market.
How long have you been in the business? I have only had my license for a few months, however, thanks to Albert Moura (OP), Debbie Moura and Beth Gosling (Team Leader), they have helped me through extensive Keller Williams training programs over the past year. These have been instrumental in helping me get off to a very busy and successful start to my career.
Why do you like working for Keller Williams Bermuda and what’s the favorite part of your job? KW Bermuda offers all of our agents constant training and workshops with Keller Williams worldwide, which I love. Our team is in constant communication with one another, which makes providing optimal service to our clients so easy. The satisfaction of constantly dealing with satisfied customers is a great feeling, and gives me the urge to give 100% every day!
Where are you seeing activity in the market at the moment? The property market is HOT at the moment, with lots of people looking to purchase. It’s a sellers’ market, so if you have property to sell… contact me today!
What is your favorite property on the market right now? My favorite property on the market at the moment is Seahorse Cottage in St. Georges which is one of my listings under contract. What property on the market right now, in your opinion, do you think is really good value? Definitely Blue Water in Southampton. It is Albert Moura’s listing and you really need to view it to really appreciate it! CLICK HERE TO VIEW
How do you see the Bermuda property market over the next 12 months? Well, that’s really difficult to say. I certainly haven’t seen any sign of things slowing down any time soon.
What are your top 3 tips for purchasers when looking for a potential new home? 1. Find an agent that is committed to providing you optimal service, and access to a large database (which we, KW Bermuda have!) 2. Pre- approval for financing. This will speed up the buying process massively. 3. Find an agent who will work in your best interest and not put theirs ahead of yours.
Finally – do you have any good tips for sellers when preparing their home for sale? I think that the most important tip would be for the seller to identify any issues there may be across the property. These will come to light in a structural survey, which is done during the transaction process. If the potential buyer is not aware of certain issues it could lead them pulling out of the sale.
