'Meet the Agent' - Tanisha Wingood - Bermuda Property Link Ltd.
This month for ‘Meet the Agent’ we interview Tanisha Wingood - Sales and Rental Associate at Bermuda Property Link Ltd.. Tanisha discusses why she enjoys working for Bermuda Property Link: http://bermudapropertylink.com , favourite listing on the market right now and top tips to help you with your home search.
How long have you been a real estate agent? I received my license in December 2014. Almost 1 year already. It feels like I just started yesterday. I guess time does fly when you're having fun!
Why do you like working for Bermuda Property Link Ltd? I feel very fortunate to be working at BPL. We are a small boutique style company and everyone here is friendly and encouraging to one another. There are many levels of experience and we all work well together whether it being mentoring or supporting one another. My first week also happened to fall around our monthly staff meeting and everyone was very welcoming and fun. I felt like I was working there with my girlfriends.
What is the favourite part of your job? My favourite part is seeing the look of gratitude on their faces. It feels good to know that you have assisted in making someone very happy. Whether it be Sales or Rentals, people feel good when they are comfortable in calling a new place home.
What is your favourite property on the market right now?Harmony Close has a great location, only 5 minute drive to town. It is near schools and not far from beaches. This property is perfect for those who like condominiums. It is an end unit and located on the ground level. This is a must see. Good value for money.
How do you see the Bermuda property market over the next 12 months? During my year here I have seen the demand for Rentals and Sales increase considerably and I see it becoming more demanding in the future. I've noticed that people are upgrading to have more space while others are downgrading because they don't need as much space as before, so that works out perfectly for homeowners with large and small houses. There's something for everyone.
What are your top 3 tips when looking at a potential new home?
1. Get pre-approved. There's nothing more upsetting than finding something that in the end you cannot afford.
2. Location. Think about the nearby amenities, the commute and the neighbourhood.
3. Get the house/land surveyed before you buy. You don't want to discover major structural damage after you've purchased it.
What do you think of www.propertyskipper.com? I love it!! It saves Agents time by uploading directly from our own websites and searching for properties is very easy. It is very informative; I read the property news section all the time! It has information on a lot of things Real Estate. It is accessible to everyone including Agents, Landlord's and Propects.
Tanisha is currently assisting her clients with both Sales and Rentals within the Bermuda residential market.
