This month for 'Meet the Agent' we interview Liza Outerbridge who works as a Property Manager at Bermuda Realty. Having worked in the local property industry for a considerable time, Liza discusses the favourite aspects of her role and why she enjoys working at Bermuda Realty. Liza also discusses what a typical day looks like as a Property Manager and why Property Managers are currently in such demand on the island.How long have you been in the business? I stopped counting at 16 years! So let’s just say long enough to know this is a wonderful Industry to work in, if you enjoy working with people.
Why do you like working for Bermuda Realty? There is a wonderful Team spirit at Bermuda Realty. We all work together providing a full-service agency for our clients. What ever the question we have a knowledgeable specialist on hand who has the answers from Appraisals, Valuations, Rentals & Leasing, Sales, and of course Property Management of Condominiums, Residential and Commercial properties.
What is the favourite part of your job? There is never a dull moment and no two days are alike. As a Property Manager my day comprises of a variety of tasks customized for each client.
What does a typical day look like? There is never a typical day. The variety of services we provide for our clients will see me carry out onsite inspections, meeting with contractors or my colleagues to solve an issue, planning a maintenance schedule, participating in Board meetings and AGM’s, coordinating an emergency repair, reviewing budgets, whatever it takes for my home owners to peacefully enjoy their home.
Why are Property Managers in such demand? Life is busy and people want to protect their investments so they are turning to Property Management to ensure their properties are maintained not only on a daily basis but with long term plans in place.
What would you say to a Board of Directors or a Home owner who is considering hiring a Property Manager? Come and meet with me. We can review your needs and evaluate how we might work together to achieve the results you are looking for.
