At the start of a new year it’s always good to look back on the year gone by in Bermuda and take stock of our progress at propertyskipper.com. Through 2014 we added a number of new agents and currently advertise the listings of 24 real estate agents on the island. All segments of the market saw significant traffic growth across residential sales, residential rentals, commercial and land as well as vacation rental. The residential sector in particular saw significant continued growth in property enquiries from the site.
All of this added up to an exceptional year for propertyskipper.com with visits to the Bermuda site climbing by 89% to over 250,000 from 2013. Page-views grew by over 80% to 2.6 million. Traffic steadily built through the year culminating in a doubling of visitors as compared to 2013 in December. We can attribute this to a significant growth in mobile traffic, which more than doubled through the year and now accounts for over a third of all visits to the site. 2014 was a great year and we want to thank you for supporting the site and making us the number 1 property search website in Bermuda.
We are pleased to say that 2015 looks like it is getting off to a strong start. For our users on-the-go propertyskipper.com will launch its responsive site over the next month. This will continue to enhance the user functionality and experience on both mobile and handheld devices. We are meeting an increasing demand from local companies looking to advertise on the site and combined with growing confidence in the Bermuda economy - the outlook for the business as a whole is very encouraging. We look forward to working with advertisers and local real estate agents to make 2015 our best year yet.
