2016 proved to be a very strong year for property search in Bermuda with visitors to propertyskipper in Bermuda increasing by 25% as compared with 2015. Traffic for the end of 2016 and beginning of 2017 has also indicated a positive start for property search on the island this year.
Time on site and average pages per visit remained largely in line with 2015 which is positive, given that despite adding further agents to the site, inventory of available property reduced as compared with the end of 2015 driven largely by a reduction of available residential rental properties. The only segment to materially add inventory was vacation rentals where there are approximately 30% more listings on the site than in 2015.
Approximately 75% of traffic to the Bermuda site is local, with 15% coming from the U.S., 6% U.K, 4% Canada and then 5% other, over the last year traffic from the U.S. and particularly U.K has seen a good up-tick. We have continued to see growth in mobile/tablet traffic over the year and this is now approaching nearly 50% of all traffic and we would expect this trend to continue as we improve our mobile offering.
