As you may or may not know, Guernsey is split up into multiple parishes, the largest being Castel. Although this parish may be the largest in terms of square miles (3.9sq mi) the population still only stands around 9,000 people in total.

Castel hosts the annual "Battle of Flowers" in August, as a part of the North Show. The North Show is a great family event, which provides entertainment for adults as well as children.
Saumarez Park - The largest public park in Guernsey includes a large adventure playground for toddlers to teens, formal gardens including a rose garden, a Japanese Fishing Hut, pond and Japanese walk and tea rooms and bouncy castle.
Vazon Bay - The award-winning Blue Flag beach Vazon Bay stretches for around 2 miles, and is deemed one of the most scenic bays on Guernsey.
Fort Hommet Gun Casement - A restored German gun site that was in operation during 1943-1945. Interesting to take in the history that Guernsey has.
Guernsey Telephone Museum - Make a call down memory lane in this quirky museum that includes a hands-on exhibition of telephone communications in Guernsey since 1898.
National Trust Folk Museum - Situated in Saumarez Park in beautifully restored outbuildings and open daily from March to October, it is run by the National Trust of Guernsey. Contains a collection of domestic Victoriana, old farming equipment, cider barn etc, all of which combine to give you a feeling of having stepped back in time. Also has a shop, tea room and children's playground, great for a family day out.
